FAQ

Do I need an account or membership to use PlayDex?

No. There is an optional PREMIUM subscription (requires purchase & Google sign-in), but the app can be used without it.

Are there any limitations to the free version?

The free version offers no online backup. It also limits the number of games, keys, and wishlist items you can add, and limits Steam/Gog importing. Remove limits with the “No Limits” one-time purchase, or get Premium. Premium includes unlimited entries, unlimited imports, ad removal, and cloud sync/backup.

Where is my game data stored?

PlayDex is offline-first, so your data is stored on your device. Premium subscribers get automatic cloud sync/backup via a secure database. Your collection stays backed up while your subscription is active. Game keys stored online are encrypted.

Can I request a deletion of all of my Games, Game Keys, and Wishlist items?

Yes. In the app, go to Settings (top-right) → “Delete All Games”. Premium users’ cloud data is deleted as well. You can also contact us at info@so-useful.com for manual removal.

As a PREMIUM subscriber can I request deletion of my account?

Yes. If your subscription expires, this happens automatically. Or contact us at info@so-useful.com to request manual deletion.

By using the PlayDex app, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions (click to read)

1. Use of our Service
Our app is provided “as is” for personal use.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum legal age in your country).
You agree not to misuse our service or attempt unauthorized access.
2. Accounts & Authentication for Premium Subscribers
We use OAuth sign-in (e.g., Google). We only store your email for authentication.
Authentication data is securely stored on Supabase.
Premium features include saving game libraries, wishlists, and encrypted game keys.
3. PREMIUM Subscription (optional)
Subscription terms are managed through your app store. By default, subscriptions renew automatically every 12 months. A 7-day grace period applies; after that, if not renewed, your data may be removed from the database.
4. Accuracy of Data
We strive for accuracy and availability but cannot guarantee it. You agree we aren’t liable for data loss or interruptions beyond our control.
5. Security
We use Supabase encryption and access controls. No system is 100% secure; you accept some risk when using online services.
6. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, So-Useful.com isn’t liable for damages arising from use of our apps or services.
7. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms; changes will appear here with an updated date.

We do not collect your name, address, or payment card info. Payments are processed by Google Play.
We currently do not use analytics or tracking tools.

For PREMIUM subscription only: To sign you in across devices, provide Premium features, and maintain security.
3. Data storage & security
For PREMIUM subscription only: Data is stored on Supabase (encrypted in transit and at rest). Game keys are additionally encrypted before storage.
4. Sharing your data
We don’t sell or rent your data. We may disclose data only when required by law.
5. Your rights
You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time. If your Premium subscription expires or is refunded, your account and saved data may be automatically deleted.
